Collette Bowers Zinn is an education entrepreneur who recently launched a nonprofit dedicated to closing the diversity gap in Los Angeles area private schools.

Collette, a long time private school educator and educational consultant, created  Private School Axis, seeking to establish an innovative approach to partnership with Los Angeles area independent schools to open up new avenues for students and families of color to access paths to success while navigating the independent school system.  

Kasvaa partnered with Axis to help create a business plan to serve three fundamental purposes. First, the business plan would be used to align the founder and the board on their purpose and operational plan. Second, the business plan would be used as a planning guide for the next three years of operations. Finally, it serves as a fundraising tool for the Axis Board of Directors and Collette as they raise resources to support the mission of the organization. 

Private School Axis has cemented partnerships with 20+ Los Angeles private schools who will work with Axis to promote and sustain cultural diversity via the collaborative designing, implementing and strengthening of diversity, equity and inclusion efforts and programs within their schools. The founder and Board of Directors are actively raising funds for 2021 operations.
